Message from God, University Heights, San Diego
<< seen along Park Boulevard in  University Heights

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

Where were you 42 years ago today?
The youngest President of the United States was assassinated on November 22, 1963.
John F. Kennedy’s death is often
considered a defining moment in American history both because of its traumatic impact on the entire nation and because of his
elevation as an icon for a new generation of Americans and their aspirations. JFK was the last president to die in office.

Steve Wollert, 2006 Mr. International Gay Rodeo Association
Local cowboy Steve Wollert was awarded the title of Mr. International Gay Rodeo Association for 2006 last week at the IGRA Finals Rodeo in Dallas. “I’m excited about welcoming the contestants, spectators, sponsors and supporters of Gay Rodeo back to San Diego in April,” commented Wollert. The Greater San Diego Chapter (GSDC) of the Golden State Rodeo Association will be hosting their 18th annual event this spring. The primary objective of the GSDC is to promote the country/western lifestyle within the gay community, to support amateur sportsmanship through participation, competition and recognition, and to give back to the community through charitable contributions. Since 1988 the GSDC has donated over $162,000 to local San Diego charities.
