View the Milky Way at ten million light years from the Earth. Then move through space towards the Earth in successive orders of magnitude until you reach a tall oak tree just outside the buildings of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, Florida. After that, begin to move from the actual size of a leaf into a microscopic world that reveals leaf cell walls, the cell nucleus, chromatin, DNA and finally, into the subatomic universe of electrons and protons.

Once you click on the site, the software does all the work. Sit back and imagine how perfect our world is. You can play it forward and backward. Enjoy!

StPatsParadeSt. Patrick’s Day Parade 2006
The Irish Congress of Southern California and Guinness sponsored the 26th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday from 11am-5:30pm. Although it rained off and on throughout the day, it did not deter people from enjoying the live music, food and of course, the beer.

The parade began at Juniper and Sixth Avenue. Roads were closed along Fifth and Sixth to Upas Avenue to make way for the various floats, marching groups, school bands and many participating organizations.

Folks then made their way to Balboa Park for the St. Patrick’s Day Festival where they celebrated with Celtic music, corn beef and cabbage, traditional Irish dancers and Guinness stout beer.

Early Wednesday morning, a huge rock broke through the window of Afghanistan Khyber Pass Restaurant on 523 University Avenue. There was no sign of robbery. SDPD were called in the morning to report the incident. According to the owner of Khyber Pass, two weeks ago the restaurant experienced another case of vandalism.

Monday morning at around 4:30am, Talus Cafe was broken into and robbed, along with Senso Boutique who was robbed within the week. Is there a possible connection? Warren Simon from the Hillcrest Business Association brought up the possibility of a neighborhood watch team. If you have any information about these recent break-ins, please contact the police department.
