Ruben visited Bruno at his new pilates gym (The Knot Stop) in the Uptown District this morning. HillQuest 4 is almost
out da door.
This year’s urban
guide will be found at our advertisers the last week in June — we’ll
link to them later today. The collage at the left will grace the cover
on our fourth edition. This year’s colors? Teal and brown.

— Chicago Tribune
Opening
Friday at DIVERSIONARY Fueled by heat, hormones and whiskey, this play is smart, sexy and all that jazz, with delicious characters and period music. In the multi-award winning play...the rough-edged Terry Logan finds herself booted out of the post-WW II Women’s Army Corp after an intimate brush with the general’s daughter. Her wanderlust lands her at a watering hole for lesbians. Pulp! is a fast moving, stylized piece featuring drag kings, cabaret jazz, love triangles and forbidden Sapphic lust. |

< 1914 photo of the California Quadrangle with the tower going up on the right. Looking west the Cabrillo Bridge is under construction in preparation for the Panama-California Exposition which was held in 1915-16. It’s Tuesday! You know what that means: some museums in Balboa Park have no admission! Since it’s the first Tuesday of the month, everyone can get into the Model Railroad Museum, the Fleet Science Center or the Natural History Museum for FREE! If we weren’t wrapping up HillQuest edition four, we’d be there. HQ4 will begin distribution the end of next month.
