GSDBA 2006 board

GSDBA Board Installed

Thirteen directors were sworn in last Wednesday at the Greater San Diego Business Association’s annual installation dinner at Lotus Thai Cuisine downtown. SD City Councilmember Toni Atkins was on hand to bestow the honors. All of the board’s officers were elected to a second term: President Bobby Vannoy; Vice President Michelle Burkart; Treasurer Julianna Lopez and Secretary Donna Cunning. The installation included new (and handsome) board member Eric Brown.

“The Republicans are worried about the flag, gay marriage and the terrible burden of the estate tax on the rich. The rest of us are obviously unnecessarily worried about war, peace, the economy, the environment and civilization. Another reason to vote Republican — they have a shorter list.”

SDPD arrest June 4, 2006

Did you catch the Rock n Roll Marathon running thru a foggy Hillcrest yesterday morning? A flurry of excitement on University Avenue just west of the sign also occured in the afternoon after a guy suspected of having drugs resisted the SDPD. Almost a dozen city employees were needed to make the arrest.
