![]() The Massachusetts high court ruled today that only full, equal marriage rights for gay couples — rather than civil unions — would be constitutional, erasing any doubts that the nation’s first same-sex marriages could take place in the state beginning in mid-May. (Check the photo essay also available on the above link.) Hours after the court ruling, the White House called the developments “deeply troubling” and said it will review the decision. White House spokesman Scott McClellan said President Bush is dedicated to “protecting the sanctity of marriage.” Regarding WMD: “I’ve talked with analysts at CIA and DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), and they all claim there was tremendous pressure put on them,” said Melvin Goodman (ex-CIA expert who currently teaches at the National War College). The fact, according to Goodman, that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld created an Office of Special Plans (OSP) outside the formal intelligence channels with the specific mandate to reassess raw intelligence in order to find alleged links between Hussein and the al-Qaeda terrorist group suggests the administration was applying that pressure in unconventional ways. and...GOPs defend Bush military service |

It
seems totally unbelievable

“Many new advertisers are
recognizing our value and participating this year ,” says HillQuest
publisher, Nancy Moors as she walks the streets of the ’hood. “The
deadline for
volume 2 of the annual Urban Guide to 92103+ is still three
months away, but since advertisers get to choose
the location of their HillQuest ad, folks aren’t waiting.” Why would
they? This spiffy little book promotes our community (and its
advertisers) for a full twelve months for one low price. A limited
number of our first issue remains in storage and continue to be
distributed daily. “You get so much with one ad in our guide, you’d
have to be foolish not to
be a part of HillQuest,” commented co-publisher Ann Garwood. In
addition, each advertiser receives
free web presence with Hillcrest businesses receiving a bonus of
being identified on the full-color pullout maps at no extra charge. The
publishers also
take the handy books to neighborhood meetings and gatherings for
additional outreach. Another bonus: Scripps Mercy
Hosptial has retained the back cover, assuring that the guides will be
available inside the facility for people who may not be familiar with
our
community.Interested in setting up an

![]() CBS says they didn’t know about Janet’s boob being the halftime finale. What do you think? Was it really a “wardrobe malfunction?” They wouldn’t let the moveon.org
ad “Child’s
Pay” run.
Was it merely a separation of church (er, sports) and state? Janet has apologized to those offended. Feds call it “deplorable.” Aye yi yi...the duo may now be banned from Sunday’s Grammys on CBS. I sure hope this incident won’t tarnish the Jackson family name. |
