The atmosphere is slowly clearing
over
Hillcrest, but the morning skies were still tinted with orange as the
firestorm
continues in east, north and south parts of San Diego County. Schools
remain
closed. |

Many people stayed off the streets
(and
away from work/schools) this morning. Heavy, smoke-filled skies loom
overhead. |

The Pet Palace (on Ray Street in
North
Park) held their fifth annual doggie halloween costume contest midday
under
smokey skies. Thirteen festive canines competed for prizes in the most
creative,
funniest and scariest categories. Here is Vanessa (winner of the funniest) in her teddy bear outfit. |

hosted a tasty neighborhood event allowing local business owners the
opportunity
to share ideas for a new neighborhood “passport” promotion. Interested in being involved? Call Francesca at 297-8362. |

The wacky realtors at Bankers Hill Properties were
filled
with high spirits at their vessel docks in Coronado for a scavenger
hunt.
This is the third year BHP has thrown a “road rally” for clients and
friends.
Much fun was had by all dancing to the Sue Palmer trio, winning great
prizes
and sailing around the San Diego Bay. Thanks! |
