After a year of patience... Will Pinkberry finally be opening in Hillcrest? There’s a little action going on behind the faded fence on the southeast corner of Fourth and Robinson as the former home of P.B. Home & Garden begins a new transformation into a location for LA’s most popular yogurt treat. But in the many months of delay, several other frozen yogurt shops have popped up around the neighborhood — including Freddo Dulce, the Golden Spoon, Tutti Frutti, Yog-art and Capri Yogurt to name a few. Which is your favorite? |

Maple Canyon is so much better Thanks to volunteers from “I Love a Clean San Diego” and Friends of Maple Canyon a dumpster full of trash was removed from this beautiful canyon two blocks west of Balboa Park just north and south of the Quince Street pedestrian bridge. The group cleaned out trash from several homeless encampments and chopped down invasive bamboo-like plants (arundo) from this Bankers Hill treasure. Thank you soo much to everyone who pitched in and made a difference. The Maple Canyon is now safer as well as cleaner! Take a hike and check it out yourself. The trailhead is on Third Avenue a half block north of the Quince Street foot bridge. |
