John

Congratulations, boyz

Stephen Whitburn is the neighborhood choice for District Three. I know Stephen will stand up to the developers who have too much clout at City Hall. Stephen Whitburn will work to make sure neighborhoods have a greater say in city government.”

Bob Grinchuk & Reuel Olin wed on June 17, 2008

Please share your wedding photo...

Congratulations to Bob Grinchuk and Reuel Olin who married this afternoon. The newlyweds, together for 35T years, were finally allowed to make their relationship legal and did so on the first day it was possible in San Diego County. Reuel and Bob are the proud owners of The Wine Lover at 3968 Fifth Avenue — a great place to toast nuptials happening all over the state.

Phyllis Lyon & Del Martin, SF City Hall, June 16, 2008
Kate Kendell: I asked
Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin what they planned to do after their wedding, and they said they wanted to have their party and then rest. They planned to play cards, read, watch the news and attend a wedding of close friends. In other words, they planned to live just as they did yesterday, last week, last month and last year. They planned to enjoy the extraordinariness of ordinary love, the comfort of sitting next to the person you love most in the world. Phyllis and Del have been sitting side by side for 55 years. Now, they will wake up and their love will be the same – extraordinary and ordinary all at the same time – but they will be married, a gift and a fundamental right they never thought they would live to see.
