Join a Hillcrest Walking Tour tomorrow (Wednesday) evening with Patty Fares of Urban Safaris guiding an easy walk from the east side of the neighborhood to the heart of the community under the Hillcrest sign, first erected in 1940. Patty will be leading four informative strolls through Hillcrest this summer. This is number one. Meet in front of Urban Grind (at 3797 Park Blvd) prior to 6pm and wear your walking shoes. Your $10 donation will benefit the Hillcrest History Guild. The tour will end under the Hillcrest sign at 7:30. Space is limited to 15. To make your reservation, call (619) 944-9255. Dates for the four Hillcrest Walking Tours are July 16, 23, 30 and August 6. |

Help us celebrate this year’s edition of HillQuest... ...with the Hop in the ’Hood this Sunday from 10am-6pm on Seventh Avenue between Robinson & Pennsylvania. All HillQuest fans are invited! Bring your folding chairs and frisbees! City Deli cake will be served to everyone following the 12:30pm Flower Power Parade. Pack up the family, grab a blanket and a picnic for a fun day with San Diego’s best music on this closed block just south of Whole Foods Market.
