Father Tony Noble, All Saints' Rector
Holy Saturday & Easter Sunday this weekend

All Saints’ Episcopal Church (Hillcrest’s oldest church located at the corner of All Saints' Espicopal Church in Hillcrest, San DiegoSixth & Pennsylvania) welcomes you to their special services during Lent including Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Day. Father Tony Noble, center in the photo at the left, will lead the Anglocatholic liturgy and music for which All Saints’ is well known. The Holy Saturday High Mass at 7pm will be followed by their annual Easter chocolate party! What a marvelous way for those giving up chocolate for Lent to celebrate the Resurrection! Easter Sunday features a Low Mass at 8am followed by a High Mass at 10am.

Balboa Park California Tower

Need a dose of Balboa Park?
Free admission today at the Model Railroad and SD Natural History museums, Rueben H. Fleet Science Center and Centro Cultural de la Raza. The free day was created as a “thank you” to local residents for supporting Balboa Park museums through tax dollars. On a rotating schedule several museums have no admission to San Diego County residents every Tuesday. On the 2nd Tuesdays: SD History & Photographic Arts museums; 3rd Tuesdays: Art Institute, Museum of Man, Mingei & the Museum of Art; 4th Tuesdays: Aerospace and the Auto museums, Hall of Champions and International Cottages.

Thanks to ball bearings, the Timken Museum of Art is your gift — admission’s always free. The Botanical Building at the north end of the lily pond is wonderful and free, too. This coming Friday a display of Easter Lilies will go on display in the Botanical Building. Don’t miss it. Perhaps it’s time for a relaxing walk around our big back yard?

“I always thought Jerry Sanders was a stand-up guy. Until last week, that is. That‘s when we learned he has a rather unusual philosophy when it comes to promises. Like eggs and coupons, they have expiration dates.”
