Fun at Sunday’s Dyke March & FestHundreds of dykes and their many supporters met at Balboa Park’s big fountain yesterday then marched to Ohio Street north of University Avenue for this year’s Dyke Fest, a free event for all ages which took place from noon until 6pm. A kiss-in took place at 3pm. Speakers included State Sen. Chris Kehoe & Abby Schwartz with entertainment by LMA, Rhythm Turner (at left), Jenn Jenn, Micha Cardenas, Nicole Torres, Abby Schwartz, Angie Evans, Tryce Czyczynska, Mary Dolan, Laura Jane, Rhythm & the Method and Bitter Sober. The fabulous Laura Jane (also at left) was Sunday’s mistress of ceremonies. |
