![]() Dear sweet Sara left our world peacefully at 1:05am on Monday. She profoundly touched each of us with her joy, her grace and her sparkle. Her light shines brightly, as she smiles down on us, and as she always said “until we’re together again.” Her only comment upon hearing her final prognosis (just two months ago), “I’m going to miss so much.” Thank you, Sara, for the gift of your love and your light. You are our angel in Heaven as you have been on Earth. Oh, how we will miss you. She is survived by lots of friends, her mother, favorite brother “Bucky,” other siblings, children and Sara’s 23-year lifepartner and friend, Gail Hillen. In Sara’s
favorite words, “Always keep your ‘I
Love You’s
up-to-date!
“We will all see her again someday, and I look forward to it. Be at peace knowing that she’s with the bazillion animals she loved and that the gin, ice and olive supply is unlimited. The sun is shining on her already bronzed body, and she’s at peace with the world! Doesn’t sound like a half bad existence. I love you today, tomorrow and always.” — Bucky

At
one time in my life, I thought I had a handle on the meaning of the
word “service” = the act of doing things for other people. Then I
heard the terms: Postal Service, Telephone Service, Civil Service,
City/County Public Service, Customer Service, Service
Stations...and last, but not least INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. I became
confused about the “service” word. This is not what I thought it
meant. Today I recalled that, as a child, I heard my dad say he was
having a neighbor’s bull over to “service” one of our cows. Shazam! It
all came into perspective. Now I understand what all those “service”
agencies are doing to us. |

EarthFair was educational and fun! March for Women’s Lives took place in our nation’s capital... Addressing a pre-rally breakfast yesterday, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton said, “We didn’t have to march for 12 long years because we had a government that respected the rights of women.” (photos and article) |
