We want to find out why this happened: Is it a problem of improper training? Is it a problem with this deputy? We all would like to see the department address this so it doesn’t happen to someone else.”

Santas invade Hillcrest on Saturday, December 19, 2009

Ho HO HOSantas invade Hillcrest

Did you see the sea of red Saturday afternoon? Over 50 santas took a pre-Christmas Eve break from the North Pole for a Saturday afternoon visit to Hillcrest for a little pub crawling. (RU dreaming of a white Christmas?)

The bar hopping ho ho hos started at Nunu’s before landing their sleds and reindeer at The Loft for a little cup of holiday cheer. After liquid fortification, the happy group strolled into the heart of the neighborhood while spreading merriment to one and all along the way. The crimson herd was last spotted heading for Urban Mo’s.
Others must have great photos and videos.

“It’s not a great big place. It’s kind of small and can be very, very, very busy, but you can tell by the people who are in there eating, you know they are getting good food...when it comes to the quest for Hillcrest’s best Mex, I have to say one of the best destinations there is, is Mama Testa.”

The public did not react well to the Mayor’s idea and the City Council sent the proposal back to the mayor for retooling. Now, we are being asked to consider the meters independent of the Mayor’s proposal. Unfortunately, I believe the new proposal will still allow for significantly increased rates. And the rates on these new meters can be changed very easily.”
