 Gay pride was celebrated worldwide Sunday with parades in NYC, Toronto, San Francisco and Costa Rica (click on “Lair About” for a translation). Sunday’s date marks the 35th anniversary of the raid on the Stonewall Inn. The parade was highlighted with the inclusion of two policemen who participated in the raid. Booths filled Fifth Avenue at the 16th annual SD Open Air Book Fair. Several authors lectured and signed their books for appreciative fans. Highlighting the afternoon was Chalmers Johnson and his newest work, “The Sorrow of Empire: Militarism, Secrecy, and the End of the Republic.”
