We love musicals! And Balboa Park’s own Starlight Theatre is a great venue.
There’s nothing like singing and dancing under the stars (even if the seats are a bit uncomfortable). Now playing in their 58th season is “Damn Yankees” followed by “The Music Man” and “Sweeney Todd.”

To reserve your tickets call (619) 544-STAR or visit their website.

There was much to do in the park on Thursday evening — beginning with lots of banjos at the organ pavilion, artist Gwen Snyder and Update’s Russell Poncik were spotted in the crowd of The Center’s Out at the Old Globe and hundreds showed up on the east lawn of the art museum to see
Orson Welles whisper “Rosebud.”

Wednesday’s free concert in the park featured the Bi-national Mambo Orchestra. Tomorrow will be SD’s Banjo Band followed by “Citizen Kane.”
