Class ring lost in 1978 found 26 years later

Beautiful weekend (but the coast was foggy).
< The Outback blimp cruised our skies for the Buick Open.

Enjoy the weather the next couple of days, ’cause rain’s in the forecast for midweek. Please save water and leave those sprinklers turned off.

Not One Damn Dime
“We didn't have the right skills, the right capacity,
to deal with a reconstruction effort of this kind.”

Neither Iraq or Afghanistan were mentioned in GW’s inaugural speech
Protests nationwide: D.C. Florida Kentucky Washington

Keep your money in your pocket today.
Not One Damn Dime
is about supporting the troops. The politicians put the troops in harm’s way. Now 1,200+ brave young Americans and (some estimated) 100,000 Iraqis have died. The politicians owe our troops a plan — a way to come home.

There’s no rally to attend. No marching to do. No left or right wing agenda to rant about. On “Not One Damn Dime Day” you take action by doing nothing. You open your mouth by keeping your wallet closed. For 24 hours, nothing gets spent, not one damn dime, to remind our religious leaders and our politicians of their moral responsibility to end the war in Iraq and give America back to the people.

...also this evening:
Mass Street Theatre Action: this form of protest originated in Argentina where marchers bang pots and pans to show their anger.

What was the lowest point in SD’s history? Could it be in 1921 when Mayor Louis J. Wilde was driven from office
under a cloud of scandal. Even the Prince of Wales couldn’t rescue him. Or how about Mayor Roger Hedgecock?
The Quince Street Bridge, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, is a white wooden trestle that crosses
Maple Canyon just west of Fourth Avenue in Park West. The design was popular in railroad construction in 1905.
The original builders spent $805 to put it up, would be aghast to hear that a renovation in 1990 cost $250,000.
