Valhalla at Diversionary Theatre in San Diego
Finding beauty can drive you mad!
Diversionary Theatre’s new production of Vahalla will be playing for the next several weeks in the University Heights community playhouse at 4545 Park Boulevard. The photo at the right shows Queen Marie of Bavaria (Laura Bozanich) and Marie Antoinette (Lisel Gorell-Getz) standing behind the eccentric Prince Ludwig (Andy Collins). The audience is treated to two plays in one inside this laughable farce
as they follow a young Ludwig and a poor gay Texan boy from their adolescence through adulthood. The talented cast plays multiple
 roles in the two-act play
filled with belly laughs and giggles.

Valhalla debuted last Thursday and will run through October 2.

Candye Kane

Candye Kane has a feature story in this week’s CityBeat about being a full-figured activist in a skinny world. The only thing bigger than this gal’s boobs is her voice. “Fat is not a four-letter word. And by using it freely we take the power away from the people who try to use it as a weapon against us.” Congrats to da diva after her new album “White Trash Girl” took the best blues honor at this year’s SD Music Awards.

boogie woogie queen
Sue Palmer once again dazzled the audience.
