In a move that will define his presidency as among the most shameful in history, President Bush today called upon Congress to write discrimination into our constitution! Less than one day after his campaign began to talk about the need for “small government that does not intrude upon the lives and freedoms of Americans,” he has issued a call for legislation that will codify hate, inequality and discrimination into our constitution.
This is a step beyond the usual “culture wars and rhetoric” and it requires that we respond today! Our lawmakers need to hear your voice and need to know you will support them as they say NO to the President and to this amendment!
