Michael Brown leads SD’s only real ghost tours. During his 90-minute walking tours, guests visit various paranormally active places in Old Town. “Whooo’s the wickest ghost? A spooky trial” This Friday & Saturday night (and next Friday – thru Halloween) at 6pm the Old Town SD State Historic Park will hold an evening of scary, funny and tragic stories of people who lived in early San Diego during the 1800s. Spirits will answer to the comical judge Oliver Weatherby with the audience as their jury to determine “Whooo’s the Wickedest Ghost.” An hour-long walking tour is included. Tickets are $15. Whaley House Ghost Hunting Tours Join the Whaley House Museum staff and the San Diego Ghost Hunters for an exclusive 90-minute paranormal investigation of “America’s Most Haunted.” Attendance Whaley House in Old Town San Diegois limited, so advance ticket purchase is recommended. $50 per person online at the Whaley House website. This unforgettable and entertaining excursion includes an exclusive after-hours tour inside the Adobe Chapel, El Campo Santo Cemetery and, of course, the Whaley House. $25 per person. Ages 12 & older. Tour begins in Whaley House side yard. The tours continue on Thursday and Friday nights through Oct 25.

This Saturday, October 22 at 6pm join the fabulous Laura Jane in the Whaley House gardens for a night of Scaryoke fun. Whether your singing voice is haunting or just plain scary, sing your favorite Halloween song for a chance to win a prize. Costumes are optional. Don’t miss this great free event!

A week later (Saturday, October 29) from 11-3pm enjoy a fun day at the Balboa Park Halloween Family Day. To get you in the spirits, over a dozen museums will offer free admission to children 12 and under throughout the day (no coupon required). In addition, participating museums and cultural attractions will bestow hallowed guests with a ghoulish array of spooky activities, creepy crafts, spine-tingling tours, scary storytelling and loads of free treats. Also…next Saturday you can take a Calvary Cemetery Walk through one of San Diego’ oldest cemeteries and Pioneer Park in Mission Hills. This site of one of SD’s most most shameful treatments of many of its pioneer families and individuals such as Cave Johnson Couts, Father Ubach and many, many lost souls. Meet at L.B. Powers & Son Plumbing, 1705 West Lewis Street at 3pm. Tours begin at 4pm and 4:30pm. Tickets are $15.

Then return to the haunted Whaley House the night of Halloween (Monday, October 31) from 5pm to midnight to enjoy period music, historic lighting and tales of paranormal encounters which will raise your spirits. $15 per person. Purchase tickets online at the Whaley House website.
