Bankers Hill/Park West Community Meeting

This evening from 6:30-8pm at St. Paul’s Manor (328 Maple Street)
The focus of the meeting is an intent to create sense of place and a distinct identity for Bankers Hill which will include appropriate landscaping, lighting, street furnishing and identity signage. This will be the initial community meeting for a streetscape and design study for the Fourth/Fifth/Sixth Avenue corridor. These improvements will be done in coordination with the implementation of traffic calming measures currently under study. The meeting is open to all members of Bankers Hill/Park West.

Glen Schmidt, President of Schmidt Design Group, and Brad Lewis, Group Manager of Helix Environmental Planning, have been commissioned to do the study and will be making the presentation. They are seeking input from residents, business and property owners in Bankers Hill about what themes and design guidelines should be established for the community. This study is taking place because Bankers Hill/Park West community effectively advocated in 2006 to make it happen (and because they received vital support from District 2 City Council Member Kevin Faulconer).
