Dozens of area residents attend HTC meeting

The Hillcrest Town Council met Tuesday evening at the Joyce Beers Community Center in the Uptown District. Presenations were given by HTC VP Anne Haule regarding 2012 projects, and HHG VP Nancy Moors shared a slideshow on neighborhood history. Anthony Bernal gave an update from Councilman Gloria’s office; Gibran Maciel presented a report from Assemblymember Atkins’ office; Fernando Lopez explained the efforts to rename Blaine Street to honor slain San Francisco activist Harvey Milk; the next neighborhood clean-up will take place on Saturday, February 11 beginning at 9am along Park Boulevard south of University. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 14 from 6:30-8pm.
