The City’s Planning & Community Investment department hosted their third and final charette Saturday at Balboa Park’s Hall of Champions. The workshop focused on the significance of community character (they could find little in Hillcrest) and how conservation areas and historic districts will play a role in the Uptown Community Plan Update process. Nearly 30 community members and city staff participated in this integral part of the plan update process for Hillcrest and the rest of Uptown. The community meeting/input portion of the update process is drawing to an end after more than a year of community meetings.
