Thursday, August 27, 7-10pm — Movie on the Roof of Whole Foods. It began as a joint community building effort between HillQuest.com, Hillcrest History Guild and Whole Foods Market in 2007, which was the neighborhood’s centennial year.

For the final summer feature enjoy the screening an American classic, The Goonies! Bring your pillows, blankets, and low seated chairs. It might get a little chilly on the roof, so bring your jackets too! This is a fun free event for the whole family! We will have grab and go snacks available for purchase downstairs including $10 two topping pizzas or 2 slices for $6 (this night only).

The roof opens at 7pm and the movie will begin at 8pm. Parking will be available at the bank parking lot next door starting at 6pm. Whole Foods is located at the corner of Seventh and University.

Monday, August 31, 7:30pm — Organ Concerts features Carol Williams with special guest, Clark Sterling, Baritone, in a concert celebrating 100 Years of Broadway. The Festival runs each Monday evening, June 22 through August 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion at the heart of San Diego’s Balboa Park. Centennial International Summer Organ Festival concerts are free of charge. The historic 1915 Spreckels Organ is the largest outdoor pipe organ in America and is soon to be the largest outdoor outdoor pipe organ in the world.
