Welcome to Exotic Bamboo Nursery at 1483 University Avenue (next to Rooster Gear’s first Hillcrest location) between Herbert and Richmond. The owner, a LA schoolteacher in a previous life, will soon open this tranquil tea emporium with an outside garden area filled with 175 different varieties of bamboo…and one resident tuxedo cat, appropriately named “Bamboo.”
