Update from the Quince St Bridge

Damaged Quince Street Pedestian BridgeGood news – “Park and Rec is paying for the repairs out its budget, and the city is using an emergency contract for one of its on-call contractors that have been pre-selected for this type of work,” according to Thyme Curtis, rep for Councilman Faulconer. (We’ll let you know when the timeline is known.)

Bad news – Nine eucalyptus trees on the north side of the bridge are being removed.

Trees to be cut from the north side of the Quince Street Pedestrian BridgeMore – On Sunday afternoon about 3pm Bankers Hill resident, David Cook, 25, accidently fell 45 feet while climbing on the bridge. He sustained several injuries including a fractured shoulder, broken ribs and wrist. He received treatment at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
