Update on k-rails removal

Krail at Tenth & Robinson

When will the removal begin? (See anything, let us know.)

Last week we learned that the state permit needed by the city to get rid of the unwanted k-rails at Tenth & Robinson had been issued. On January 19 City traffic engineer Gary Pence let the community know that, “We will proceed with the removal of the K-Rail and the striping changes immediately following. Thanks for your patience.”

The city has been contacted to find out what “immediately” means, and although we’ve not heard back yet, we’re hoping that the intersection will be returned to normal this week.
