Volunteers clean-up Washington Street

On Saturday morning the UHCA organized a clean-up of the public open space onto Highway 163 on the north side of Washington west of Lincoln. The community activists enhanced this gateway to University Heights by filling dozens of bags with weeds and trash. Many drivers waved, honked and cheered as they jumped onto the highway.
