7:00 PM LGBT Discussion Group
LGBT men and women 50 and better of all cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds are invited to join us in reaching out to each other for understanding and insight, sharing stories and concerns and discussing how we relate to each other. This group will meet at The Center in room 201 on the first Thursday of every month. The LGBT Center is located at 3909 Centre Street in Hillcrest.

3:00 PM North Park Farmers Market
The North Park Farmers Market is open every Thursday until sunset. Visitors can browse from a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, nuts, flowers and other items. The farmers market is a great place to stock up on low priced, fresh items for the upcoming week. Also, a number of promotional booths are available to provide information about local businesses and services. Musicians are usually on hand to entertain shoppers. The North Park Farmers Market is located in the south parking lot of CVS Pharmacy at the corner of North Park Way at Herman Avenue.

Dr. Steve Erie, Professor of Political Science at UCLA, presents a telling narrative explaining the unintended but largely predictable failures of governance in San Diego from the multi-billion dollar pension deficit to inadequate city services and more.
