Diversionary unveils Yank to West Coast

With a title taken from the World War II publication “Yank Magazine,” this musical tells the story of a war reporter and an army private who fall in love and struggle to survive in a time and place where the odds are stacked against them. Intelligent and impassioned with songs in swing, big band and boogie-woogie styles, the show explores stories that don’t get told in wartime, and how WWII became a great catalyst in bringing gay men and women together.
