It was an incredible evening of laughter, tears, passion & tunes! as Tribal Truth presented...

A global movement to end violence against women.

On Thursday evening, April 7 the Vagina Monologues, a poignant and hilarious tour of the last frontier...the ultimate forbidden zone of vulnerability and sexual self-discovery. The wonderful cast of 22 phenomenal women from Tribal Truth, Jeans4Justice and Speak for Success Women’s Leadership Institute performed the monologues from their hearts to over 700 people (a sold-out crowd) at the Birch North Park Theatre, 2891 University Avenue.

Money was raised for the Speak For Success Women’s Leadership Institute, and the Circle of Hope Fundraiser a great success. More than 100 women’s shelter residents, women who have survived violence in their own lives, were guests at the performance though the generosity of people who purchased tickets for them to attend. The evening was filled with belly laughs and tears.

V-Day is a global movement of grassroots activists dedicated to generating broader attention and funds to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day creates dialogue and shatter taboos around violence against women and girls through thousands of events in over 140 countries.

By supporting local activists in producing benefit performances of Eve Ensler’s award winning play...part of your ticket price will be invested in local anti-violence activities.
