A fabulous weekend’s begun, time for a parade!

On Friday evening Pride weekend kicked off with a rally on the main stage at the festival grounds in Balboa Park. Harvey Milk’s nephew Stuart (shown at left) spoke to the gathering at the rally as co-chairs Larry Ramey and Judy Schaim looked on with pride. Milk will join legendary actress Cloris Leachman as this year’s  grand marshals in Saturday’s parade which will begin from the corner of University & Normal at 11am and travel west to Sixth Avenue before turning south to the park. There will be nine reviewing stands along the route, hosted by local radio stations and community personalities.
