A redistricting commission hearing was held Monday evening asstakeholders voiced their opinions on how to divide the city into nine new districts based on the 2010 census data. Suggestions included preservingDistrict 3 as a gay district and to use I-15 or I-805 as an eastern boundary and expanding the district to the west to include Mission Hills and Bankers Hill (currently in District 2).
Several Hillcrest residents supported an area circling Balboa Park including the older urban communities of character and preservation.
