Centennial Dance — Sock Hop

Friday, March 30th from 6:30pm to 9pm at the Joyce Beers Community Center (map 6-B) in the Uptown District. Jump ’n Jive at Hillcrest’s first Centennial dance. Local DJ, diva and songtress Laura Jane will spin tunes from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Join in the fun with the Stroll, the Mashed Potato or just watch others twist the night away. A great big Hillcrest thanks to Realtor, Tony Azar of the Metropolitan Group for sponsoring this fun evening. Everyone who likes Hillcrest is invited…poodle skirts are not required! Buy your tickets ($6 single or $10 a couple) at the door or in advance from Obelisk Bookstore at 1029 University Avenue. Tasty treats will be provided by Baja Betty’s, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s.
