Fans got their money’s worth at this season’s opening game.
Not in runs or hits, but in time and innings.

It took a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 12th inning
before the first player crossed the plate after 10:30pm
to give the Padres a 1-0 win for their home opener.
Whatever happened to “Opening Day?”

Petco Park was filled with media before Thursday night’s
home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
