At Bountiful Books in Hillcrest, owner Rhea Kuhlman shook her head and looked exasperated when asked about the mayoral controversy. “Typical of San Diego, isn’t it?” she said.
“They portrayed me as an environmental wacko, and they just laughed at me. It really is a new day in San Diego.
The public is going to take back their city. That’s what they have to get over. It doesn’t belong to them. It belongs to the people.
They need to get over themselves.”
