HTC to discuss redistricting April 12
At this Tuesday’s meeting of the Hillcrest Town Council (HTC), residents are encouraged to listen to Midori Wong, chief of staff for the city’s redistricting committee followed by suggestions by LGBT representative Linda Perrine and another option by HTC board member Dave McColloch.
Should the shape of District 3 remain the same with Hillcrest on the west and City Heights on the east…or should our next district represent the older neighborhoods circling Balboa Park? (Bankers Hill and Mission Hills are currently in District 2.) Neighbors are invited to share opinions on how to best divide the city into nine new districts based on the 2010 census. Also on the the April 12th agenda is a vote on reducing parking rates at the new meters on Normal Street and committee reports. The monthly meeting will be held at the Joyce Beers Community Center beginning at 6:30.
