Saturday night 12:30am, a black Mercedes SLK crashed into the north post that holds the Hillcrest sign. Local residents, Cathy and Grace, heard the crash and called 911. “A man drove his car right into the post, then it began to leak fluids. He remained in his car and attempted to leave the scene while the vehicle’s interior filled with smoke. After ten minutes, he was able to start the car and drove westbound before two SDPD officers arrived to examine the debris and damage.”
