The Arts & Crafts Movement

Kate Sessions — The Arts & Crafts Movement comes to a
lecture on Wednesday, February 16 at 2pm in Balboa Park

kateGardens created by SD horticulturist Kate Sessions are prime examples of the Arts & Crafts era in San Diego, but what is an Arts & Crafts garden? The SD Floral Association explores that question in a talk by Nancy Carol Carter, a horticultural historian. Carter will use many photographs and pictures to trace the Arts & Crafts movement from its origins and Gothic inspiration in England all the way to the gardens of Southern California.

San Diego Floral Association, Room 101 of Casa del Prado in Balboa Park. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served. The lecture will start after a short business meeting.
