A $615,000 county-funded Healthcare Safety Net Study was introduced to the community yesterday afternoon at Balboa Park’s Recital Hall. The small crowd listened as Supervisor Ron Roberts and Jean Shepard introducedThe Abaris Group and their consulting team who are studying the long-range needs (up to 20 years) of San Diegans who do not have adequate financial resources or medical insurance. The project is seeking input from a wide range of “key stakeholders” before identifying the current and future healthcare safety net needs for county residents. Monday night the group held a town hallmeeting in North County.
