Yes on D, help fill city coffers or…

No on Prop DThis evening (Tuesday, Sept 14) the Hillcrest Town Council will present a forum on the November 2 ballot measure. Proposition D will decide if the City of San Diego will have a sales tax increase, and Hillcrest has the people with all the anwers. Two councilmen, the city attorney, the city auditor and residents of our neighborhood gather for a forum at the Joyce Beers Community Center in the Uptown District (Vermont Street north of Cleveland) This will be THE PLACE to be to help make up your mind as to which way to vote.

The Hillcrest residents’ meeting will be held this Tuesday evening from 6:30-8pm with complimentary pasta dinners provided by Babbo Grande September meeting of the Hillcrest Town CouncilRestaurant. Cookies and coffee will be provided by the HTC, and a hat will be passed for donations.

After public comments and introductions, speakers City Attorney Jan Goldsmith and City Auditor Eduardo Luna will talk about how the measure will affect San Diego before Councilman Todd Gloria speaks in support of YES on D, and Councilman Carl DeMaioadvocates for a NO on D vote.

Following the forum there will be 20 minutes set aside for for questions and answers from the audience. Not sure how to vote? Attend the September meeting of the Hillcrest Town Council.
