Hillcrest Town Council Tuesday evening

Hillcrest Town Council meeting< June 2009HTC mission statement: “To provide a voice & enhance the quality of life for Hillcrest renters & homeowners while supporting actions that benefit our neighborhood.” March’s meeting for local residents will be held this Tuesday, March 9from 6:30-8pm in the Joyce Beers Community Center with public comment following introductions of the HTC Board and all in attendance then the annual board election will take place. This year’s nominees are Bruce Bielaski, Tim Gahagan and Luke Terpstra (John Taylor and Ann Garwood will remain on the board fulfilling two-year terms). The HTC thanks vice chair Juli Peters-Hyde and secretary Nancy Moors for their leadership. Next on Tuesday’s agenda will be discussion of a seat on the Uptown Partnership Board for representation by a Hillcrest resident.

From approximately 7:15-7:35 the group will hold a discussion of HTC design goals for the business district by Roy Dahl; chair John Taylor will follow by sharing the HTC’s 2009 accomplishments and treasurer Tim Gahagan will present the annual financial report. Committee reports will be given by the Neighborhood Improvement Committee and Hillcrest Goes Greener (chair AnnD Canavan). The meeting will adjourn at 8pm. Babbo Grande Restaurant will again provide free pasta dinners to all in attendance. Hillcrest’s new Porkyland will also be bringing treats.
